Toy Called God Unleashes “I’ll Know Tomorrow”
Northern California’s Toy Called God returns with their latest single, “I’ll Know Tomorrow,” from the upcoming album Heartache or Homicide. Based in the Bay Area, the band has spent over 15 years building a sound that’s as punishing as it is purposeful.
“I’ll Know Tomorrow” doesn’t chase catharsis. Blending melodic grit with thunderous riffs and emotionally charged vocals, the track sits in a place of tension—offering no redemption, no apology, and no clear answer. It’s a song that lingers long after the final note.
The band—David Hechim (vocals), Patrick Donovan (guitar), Dustin Phillips (bass), and John Riggs (drums)—brings their seasoned edge to the track with the confidence of a group that’s put in the time. Their sound is heavy, yes, but never hollow. Every line, every hit, every shift in tempo feels lived-in.
Accompanying the release is a bold lyric video directed by I Am Hologram (Richard Nihil), reimagined as a stylized noir detective short. A killer sits motionless in an interrogation room, flanked by police desperate to extract a motive. They know he did it—that much is clear. But he offers nothing. No guilt. No remorse. Just a cold, unreadable stare as the tension ratchets higher. The lyrics arrive not as explanation, but as cryptic declarations, daring the viewer to find meaning where there may be none.
“I’ll Know Tomorrow” is streaming now on all major platforms. The full album Heartache or Homicide lands later this year.
